Control Diabetes - Natural approach

Diabetes is --Lesser production of insulin or the failure of body cells to react suitably with the produced insulin in the body. It results into increased blood sugar level. The patient is advised to take medicine for keeping the sugar at normal level.
Popular saying is ‘Once diabetic is always a diabetic.

Sugar can be maintained at normal level by natural means provided you can discipline yourself:

1. Physical exercises:
a) A regular brisk walk for 40-minutes, daily
b) Sit on your feet by folding your legs at knees; close your fingers to make a fist while keeping the thumb inside the fist. Exhale the breath and place both fists on the either side of the abdomen such that when you bend your body on waist, the left-fist puts pressure on your abdomen and the right fist will pressurize the right side of abdomen. Maintain in that posture for 20 seconds then lift your head while inhaling the breath. Repeat this exercise for 5-times.
c) Sit with your legs straight. Place your right foot on the outer-side of the left knee. Exhale the breath and bend your left leg on the knee so that your left heel touches your right hip. Twist upper body to your left and place your right arm to press the right leg on the left side of abdomen. Maintain in that posture for 20-secondds and then return to normal position. Repeat the same process while placing your left foot on the outer side of right knee. Repeat this exercise for 5-times.

2. What to eat? Diabetic patients are usually suggested lots of precautions which greatly confuses them. A diabetic patient must eat lots of fruits and vegetables which has high fibre content. It lowers the requirement for insulin since the energy in the body cells is released slowly. More chromium in high fibre diet helps in the treatment of diabetes.
There is a clear indication about the fruits, vegetables and cooked food:
a) Fruits: Guava, Indian blackberry (jamun), fig, kiwi fruit, apples, citrus fruits and pomegranate juice.
b) Vegetables: Onion, garlic, ginger, radish, spinach, kale, cucumber, carrot, tomato, cabbage and cucumber are excellent in the treatment of diabetes. Sprouted moong, kidney beans and unripe banana which is cooked, can also be enjoyed.
c) Unpolished rice, sprouted grains, olive oil and peanut oil, pepper, chilli, mustard, herbs and spices. Single helping of fish or seafood, Raw vegetables, Bitter Gourd and bitter melon juice, skim milk, non-fat yogurt and non-fat cheese, plain yoghurt, avoid cottage cheese a sit is high in carbohydrates. Drink plenty of water, at least 8 to 10 glasses per day. Enjoy sweet with palm sugar, dates and honey.

3. Herbs: Once you have made up your mind to follow natural measures to control your sugar level, you will surely
a) Mango leaves: Soak mango leaves in water for at least 12-hours, consume it in the morning on empty stomach. Further the mango leaves could be dried and ground. One tablespoon of the mango powder should be taken with a glass of water in the morning, daily. It will help in treating Diabetes.
b) Cinnamon: Boil 3-teaspoons of Cinnamon in one litre of water, for 3-hours. Strain the water, cool it and consume it. One may use it daily for 2-months and then get sugar level in the body tested, once in 15-days. The mix has been found very useful in controlling sugar level.
c) Curry leaves: Consume 10-curry leaves daily, on empty stomach. It will help in bringing the sugar on normal level.
d) Fenugreek seeds: Soak one spoonful of Fenugreek seeds in water, overnight. In the morning, consume the strained Fenugreek water and chew the fenugreek seeds. It will help in maintaining the sugar at normal level.
e) Mix equal quantity of finely ground fenugreek, amalaki and turmeric, take half spoonful of the mixed powder with honey, thrice a day. It will control diabetes within 60-days.
f) Amalaki powder: Soak a spoonful of amalaki powder in water for 2-hours. Strain it and squeeze a lemon into it. Consume it in the morning on empty stomach. It will help in controlling diabetes, naturally.
