We understand the world around us through our EYES. Fraction of a second is enough for our eyes to make out all about the things going around us and accordingly we take the action which moves our life.
Both eyes work together. With the help of Muscles, nerves and brain, our eyes help us to gain a full and clear view, inspite of change in climate, intensity of light
Synchronized working of eyes, muscles, nerves and brain adapt to the changing climate and intensity of light so as to offer us correct information.
Weakness of the muscles and nerves around the eyes may give rise to different problems of sight. Problems could be temporary or it may take longer to overcome them.
Irritation in eyes, red eyes or swollen eyes may improve with first aid like splashing fresh and cold water in them but sight problems (near-sightedness or far-sightedness or other refractive problems), dry eye problems or ageing problems may take longer time to improve, even after proper medical treatment.
Simple eye exercises have been found very effective in improving the Eye Health.
1. First thing in the morning, take water in the mouth, Splash clean water on the eyes and then throw out the water with a pressure from the mouth. Repeat this exercise 3-5 times.
2. Place thumb and index finger on both eye-brows and give light massage, 45 times
3. Place thumb and index finger on the cheek bone, just below the eyes and give light massage 45 times.
4. Shift the thumb and index finger on the end-point of the eyes (on the edge of eye-bone), give 45 light pressures.
5. Place thumb and index finger on the either side of the nose bridge, by the side of the eye and give 45 light pressures.
6. Place a black object (size of a golf ball), at a distance of 3 meters. Stare it without blinking eyes for 2-3 minutes. If the water starts coming out the eyes, let it come but do not blink. It will help in improving your eye sight.
7. Rub both palms 5-7 times. Place both palms on the eyes.
8. Blink the eyelids continuously for 60 seconds.
Blood circulation in the muscles and nerves of the eye are properly activated which takes care of the eye health. ‘Pranayam exercise’ (Breathing exercise) will further improve the health of the eyes.
The above exercise, if performed regularly, has been found very effective in improving the short-sightedness of the eye sight. There has been improvement in the problem of Dry eyes.

Yoga has been very effective in improving the working of pancreas. 5-minutes devoted to each of the following exercises will reflect its results within 30 days.
1. Stand with your legs apart. Interlock your fingers and raise both hands up so that the palms are facing the sky. Now start bending on your waist to the left side, hold in that posture for 40 seconds. Repeat the same exercise while bending on your waist to your right side for 40 seconds. Come back to original position by bringing your arms down and freeing your fingers from the interlocking. Repeat this exercise for 5 times. This exercise will improve your digestive system, working of lever and intestines and tone up spine and kidney.
2. Lie on your stomach and extend your arms with the both palms closed, in Namaste position. Start raising your legs and arms, so that your complete weight of the body rests on your belly. Maintain that posture as long as you can (preferably 40 seconds). Come to the resting position. Repeat this exercise for 5 times. This exercise will massage your digestive system. It will improve the working of your pancreas.
3. Put a mattress on the floor and sit on it. Extend your both legs and then bring it back so that both soles are facing each other. While holding both feet together, raise both knees and bring it back to the ground. Perform this exercise in succession like a butterfly, for at least 40 times. This exercise will reduce stiffness in the knee and hip joints.
4. Lie down on your back with legs folded on knees. The arms must be outstretched on both sides.. Now bend your both legs on your left side and count 30 in your mind. Come back to the original position. Then bend both legs on your right side and again count up to 30 and come back to original position. Repeat this exercise for 5 times. This exercise will improve the digestive system, and the functioning of lever and spleen.
5. Kneel down and then sit on your feet. Close fingers of the both hands such that the thumb is taken into the fist grip. Put both fist on the either side of your navel and breathe out completely. Bend forward so that the body is almost parallel to the floor. Do not close the eyes. Stay in the posture for 30 seconds and come back to original position. Repeat the exercise for 5 times. This exercise will activate the pancreas to improve its working.

The glow on face is gained naturally through Yoga. The glow is the reflection of the energy produced by the interactions of yogic kriyas in the body. Much stress is being put on the purification of the body.
Collection or stagnation of any kind in the body gives rise to body waste accumulation. Purest water, if left to collect at any point will start rotting while the dirtiest water gets pure if it is allowed to flow.
Clean Colon is the most effective way of keeping diseases at a distance from you.
Yogi Ashwani suggests a completely natural preparation for squeaky-clean colon and small intestine. He advises drinking 2 glasses of hot water with a few drops of lemon juice and old honey, daily for 3 months at a stretch. This will cleanse intestines of waste that gets accumulated in the body.
Same preparation—if had after the meals—will reduce FAT. Old Honey also helps in removing non essential fats.

TIPS for Glowing Skin
Soak 4-5 almonds in 2 tablespoons of raw milk overnight. In the morning, peel the almonds, add 3-4 strands of saffron and grind the mix in the same milk. Apply this paste on your face and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water. A week of application should get you the GLOW( Take care: Do not use it if there are acne)
Treat Acne Apply 2 tablespoon of Tulsi juice on the affected area for 30 minutes. Then wash it with warm water. Try it for a week and see the improvement.
Remove polish from nails
Remove the old polish from your nails. Use a lint-free cotton pad. Don’t use cotton balls
Saturate the cotton pad with acetone remover & rub off the old polish. If the color isn’t coming off easily, press the saturated cotton on the nail & let it soak in first. Rubbing Whitening toothpaste helps in removing stains from your nails. You can also rub a drop of lemon or lavender oil on each toe & rub a buffer back & forth over the nail. This will remove the yellowed outer layer.
Cut & File Nails
It’s best to use high quality clippers made for clipping toenails. To avoid ingrown nails, cut nail straight across to just above the skin. Make sure your nail doesn’t extend over the tip of your toe.
To get a soft square shape, file nails in one direction until they are even & slightly rounded at the corners. (Hint: Don’t use metal files, they’ll rip your nails). Basic emory boards work great. Don’t clip the sides of nails, that can cause ingrown.
Emory board tip: The fine-grade surface is for smoothing the nail edge, while the coarser surface is for shortening & shaping nails.
Soak Your Feet
Fill a large flat-bottom bowl with warm water. Throw in bath salts, your favorite aromatherapy oils or Epson Salt & let your feet soak 10 minutes. The more cracked & calloused your feet, the longer they need to stay in.
Tip: Add a quarter cup of milk to your bath along with the essential oils & salts. The lactic acid in the milk loosens dead skin.
Trim Cuticles
Apply cuticle remover to the base of each nail & rub it in. Leave on for a minute, then use an orangewood stick to gently push with a circular motion everywhere where skin meets the nail (including the sides). Be careful to remove skin only on top of the nail, don’t touch the toe flesh.
Use cuticle nippers to trim any loose skin. Be careful not to nip your toe flesh.
Scrub Your Feet
Apply an exfoliating body to slough away the dead skin on the balls & heels of your feet. You’ll want to scrub the balls, bottoms & sides of your heels & around the toes. To get the most leverage, sit on the side of a bathtub, facing inward. Remember the pedicure motto we read about once, “smooth, don’t remove.” You’ll want to stop if your foot turns bright red (this means you’ve scrubbed too hard). Remember, that tough skin is there for a reason.
Moisturize
Dry feet thoroughly including between the toes & rub in a thick foot cream like Rub the feet & the calves. Rehydrate cuticles by rubbing in a dab of cuticle oil.
Polish Your Toes
Use acetone remover to get rid of any excess oils on the nails (including the cuticle oil you just applied). Apply a thin base coat using 3 strokes, one down the middle, then one on each side. Don’t paint the cuticle. Wait a minute before adding two coats of your favorite polish, then finish with a thin top coat. Clean up any errors with an orangewood stick wrapped in cotton & dipped in acetone remover.
Let nails dry for at least 40 minutes.
Tip: It’s good to paint any polish remaining on the brush over the front nail edge. This prevents chipping.
After nails have dried, spritz with moisturizing oil. This sets your polish & moisturizes your cuticles.

Stay healthy with Cashews. Cashews are extremely dense in health-promoting nutrients, and their natural creaminess and sweetness make them an excellent substitute for many dairy-based foods and snacks.
Handful of raw and organic cashews, eaten regularly may have the following physiological effects:
1. Keep your heart and blood vessels healthy by providing your cardiovascular system with a steady stream of healthy, monounsaturated fatty acids.
2. Build and maintain strong bones and teeth by supplying your body with a rich supply of magnesium, which is just as important to the physical structure of your bones and teeth as calcium.
3. Promote healthy blood pressure - magnesium-rich cashews can help keep your blood vessels relaxed, combating the negative effects of poor dietary choices and stress than can cause high blood pressure.
4. Keep your nerves relaxed - this is also accomplished by magnesium, which promotes a healthy, relaxed tone in your nerves and muscles by acting as a natural calcium channel blocker.
5. Decrease muscle cramps and soreness - also due to the high magnesium content of high quality cashews.
6. Promote deep, restful sleep through the relaxation effect that magnesium has on your nervous system and muscles.
7. Keep your joints, bones, and blood vessels flexible by supplying your body with significant amounts of copper.
8. Prevent premature aging and disease by supporting the antioxidant activity of a powerful enzyme called superoxide dismutase.
Unsalted raw, organic cashews are naturally rich in fiber and healthy monounsaturated fats therefore it does not promote overeating. In fact when people include cashews in their diets, they tend to eat less unhealthy snacks. It normalizes the body weight.

How do you feel when you inform your friend about your toothache? After giving a very patient hearing your friend coolly holds your hand and presses one of the fingers. You will surely loose patience and give a dirty look but soon you will realize that the pain in your tooth has reduced.
A worker in printing press was very slow in his work. He could pay attention to his work since he was suffering from toothache for 2-3 days. Neither he could go to a Dentist not he could anything. The reason was that the Dentist could be consulted after going to a nearby town while the person could not arrange for sufficient money. Result was—he was not able to eat anything since he was not able to chew with his paining teeth.
A knowledgeable person happened to visit his press. Seeing him working half-heartedly, he could learn from the worker about his toothache. Very coolly he confirmed about the location of painful tooth. Very confidently he pressed a particular finger for 45 seconds . After another one minute he enquired from the worker about the toothache. The worker could not believe the relief since he slowly tried to press his both jaws together and then pressing the jaws little harder. He could feel bearable pain. The person suggested him to eat something and then lend him money for consulting a Dentist in nearby town.
There is no miracle. It is Acupressure Therapy. By putting both hands on the face, fingers can be identified with the corresponding tooth. Right hand fingers will relieve the pain in the teeth on the right side of the face. Each finger will comfort two upper teeth and two lower teeth. The index finger will take care of last four teeth on the right side of the face while the last finger will comfort the front four teeth. Like wise left hand fingers will relieve the pain in the teeth on the left side of the face.
This exercise will be helpful to reduce pain for 8-10 hours. One time pressure will be effective for 2-hours. Procedure of giving pressure will be—identify the finger corresponding to the paining tooth, press it hard on nail by holding it between finger and thumb of the other hand for 30 seconds, continuously.
If there is any confusion in identifying the correct finger then there is no harm in pressing all the fingers, one by one. The exercise will be rewarded by immediate relief in the paining tooth.
It is advisable to clean your fingers and massage your gums with your finger for 30 times, in the morning and evening. It will improve blood circulation in the gums and keep your teeth – STRONG.
Health Fairs are normally organized in India. The idea is to seek relief from any chronic problem from practitioners of different therapies.
Scores of shops are being put up by various dealers of herbal medicines. They claim to help in gaining relief from problems related to stomach and digestive systems, asthma, Diabetes, heart problems, joint pains, back problems, paralysis, Sciatica and problems related to nervous system.
You can find different massagers and gadgets for comforting muscular problems and they claim to suggest easier ways to reduce weight without strenuous exercises
There are experienced practitioners of different therapies, such as: Acupressure therapy, Reflexology therapy, Aroma therapy, Colour therapy, Ayurveda, Yoga, and Tibetan treatments.
A practitioner of Acupressure therapy was drawing lot of patients. His way of treatment was very different. For most of the problems he used to request one of the visitors to apply pressure by his /fingers on the patient at some designated points for 3-4 minutes and the patient could gain relief from his problem.
His novel way of treatment could help in building confidence in the mind of patient and the other person who gave the pressure. Both could learn that particular simpler way of giving relief to anybody.
A person with neck problem approached the healer. The patient was not able to move his neck in any direction. It was a stiff neck.
On the Practitioner’s instruction one of the visitors volunteered to give the intermittent pressure on each of patient’s palm (at the inner base of the thumb). by his thumb– 20 times, Then he was asked to revolve each thumb- 20 times, in any direction. It took him 3 minutes.
The patient could move his neck without any problem.
Parting instructions were given to the patient that he has to repeat that exercise, 4-5 times each day. He was further asked to identify a bone at the back of the neck and give 20 rubbing pressures by his three fingers, three times a day.
Your busy schedules may not allow you to pay any attention to your daily routines, number of sleep hours and your favorite food but your body system is maintaining a regular account. It is adding on to the quantum of inflammation.
Do you know that chronic inflammation in the body may give rise to problems like diabetes, heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer disease? It may give rise to painful and swollen joints which may affect your mobility
Our body has inbuilt system to control inflammation and even repair every part provided it gets some opportunity (rest) for maintenance. Alternatively the inflammation keeps on adding up. The built up inflammation may strike as shooting pain, Cervical or back pain or some other problem which may need a regular treatment.
Traditional treatment would be anti-inflammatory drugs whereas natural ways to fight inflammation avoid undesirable side-effects
Our regular food makes a big difference. We usually prefer to enjoy fatty and non-vegetarian food or even processed food. All this food gives rise to inflammation and obesity.
Fresh whole foods, such as lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables are considered anti-inflammatory. Healthy whole foods can decrease inflammation and ease the pain and discomfort associated with it.
Use this handy list of the best and worst foods for controlling inflammation:
Anti-inflammatory foods: Atlantic Salmon (wild), Fresh whole, fruits, vegetables, Bright multi-colored vegetables, Green tea, Water
Olive oil, Lean poultry, Nuts, legumes and seeds, Dark green leafy vegetables, Old fashioned oatmeal, Spices, especially Turmeric and Ginger
Inflammatory foods: Sugar, from any source, Processed foods, French Fries, Fast Foods, White bread, Pasta, Ice Cream, Cheddar Cheeses, Snack Foods, Vegetable and corn oil, Soda, caffeine and alcohol
Beside dietary changes, regular exercise, 7-9 hours of sleep, and maintaining a healthy weight, will help in reducing inflammation.
